The other day, my MacBook Pro decided to stop reading it’s hard drive. I took it to the Genius Bar today and here’s the diagnosis.
Apparently the Hard Drive cable burnt out (a problem mentioned by a fellow Opponaut last night), and they’ll be repairing it. So I should be getting it back on Monday.
Stay tuned...

There are two kinds of computer users: those who HAVE lost data, and those who WILL lose data.

Same thing just happened to my wife’s old Macbook. I replaced it and also installed a SSD. Took about five minutes and the cable was $17 on Amazon.
